Algorithm Checklist Parameters:
- Mechanical ventilation planned/active > 48 hours?
- Severe coagulopathy (Plt < 50k, INR > 1.5, or severe liver fail)?
- Severe sepsis present with hypotension?
Primary Clinical Application:
Prevents acute bleeding from mucosal stress ulcers while avoiding unnecessary PPI-associated pneumonia.
