Implements the core risk scoring elements of the Breast Cancer Risk Assessment Tool (BCRAT / Gail Model) to define 5-year and lifetime risk bounds.
Algorithm Checklist Parameters:
- 1. Patient’s current Age (years)
- 2. Age at first menstrual period (menarche)
- 3. Age at first live birth
- 4. Number of first-degree female relatives with breast cancer
- 5. Number of previous breast biopsies
- 6. Has there been a biopsy showing atypical ductal or lobular hyperplasia?
Primary Clinical Application:
Identifies patients with ≥ 1.67% 5-year risk who qualify for risk-reducing selective estrogen receptor modulators (Tamoxifen / Raloxifene).
