Hematology & Oncology specialty tool
Bedside Tool Interface Configuration
Implements the Dynamic International Prognostic Scoring System (DIPSS) model to predict overall survival in primary myelofibrosis based on clinical and laboratory values.
Algorithm Checklist Parameters:
- 1. Patient Age > 65 years? (+1 Pt)
- 2. Constitutional symptoms present? (Unexplained fever, night sweats, or >10% weight loss) (+1 Pt)
- 3. Hemoglobin concentration < 10 g/dL? (+2 Pts)
- 4. White Blood Cell (WBC) count > 25,000/µL? (+1 Pt)
- 5. Circulating peripheral myeloblasts ≥ 1%? (+1 Pt)
Primary Clinical Application:
Stratifies life-expectancy and aids decisions for dangerous high-yield allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.
