Implements the Dynamic International Prognostic Scoring System (DIPSS) model to predict overall survival in primary myelofibrosis based on clinical and laboratory values.

Algorithm Checklist Parameters:
  • 1. Patient Age > 65 years? (+1 Pt)
  • 2. Constitutional symptoms present? (Unexplained fever, night sweats, or >10% weight loss) (+1 Pt)
  • 3. Hemoglobin concentration < 10 g/dL? (+2 Pts)
  • 4. White Blood Cell (WBC) count > 25,000/µL? (+1 Pt)
  • 5. Circulating peripheral myeloblasts ≥ 1%? (+1 Pt)

Primary Clinical Application:

Stratifies life-expectancy and aids decisions for dangerous high-yield allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.
